NEW! The Main Entrance (High Street) gates that access the Sanctuary Grounds and trails are on a timer and automatically open at 9 am and close promptly at 5 pm daily. Once closed, these gates DO NOT open until the next day. To allow quiet time for our resident birds, there is no access to the Sanctuary Grounds from the Main Entrance between 5 pm and 9 am.
Birdsacre trails (beyond the Sanctuary Grounds) are open for hiking and dog walking from dawn to dusk and can be accessed after the Main Entrance gates close from the Deerfield Road Entrance and parking.
The Sanctuary Grounds immediately around the enclosures are a quiet area and dog-free zone to allow our Ambassador raptors to be comfortable in their homes. Dogs are welcome on all our 6+ miles of trails except those newly marked around the enclosures (maps). Thank you for helping to make our birds feel comfortable!
